In order for us to maintain our high standards within the Nursery it is important that parents and staff work together to provide the best possible care for your children. We therefor ask that parents read the following regulations and adhere to them.

(1) AGE OF ADMITTANCE
The Nursery is registered with social services to cater for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

(2) HOURS OF OPENING
The Nursery can not open its doors until 8 am in the morning for insurance purposes.
Children who will be attending in the afternoon cannot be accepted before 1 p.m. unless special arrangements are made with the Manager. We politely request that afternoon session children are collected no later than 5pm, unless arrangements are made. Full day care children will need to be collected no later than 5.30 p.m.
The nursery must be informed of anyone other than yourself collecting your child.

(3) ABSENCE
It is important that staff are notified if your child is to be absent. This can be done by calling in at the nursery or telephoning on 01925 722080.

(4) HOLIDAYS
The Nursery is open throughout the year except for statutory holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

(5) SICKNESS
Any child suffering from whooping cough, german measles or diarrhoea should be kept at home until a doctor has certified that the symptoms have disappeared or in cases of vomiting and diarrhoea, a period of 12 hours must have passed from last symptoms before your child returns to nursery.
Should a child become sick at the Nursery every effort will be made to contact the parents or emergency contact. Please insure that you indicate where you can be contacted during Nursery hours. If any emergency should occur we will remove your child to hospital.

(6) CLOTHING

It is important that your child is provided with suitable clothing so that he/she can enjoy every aspect of play indoors and outdoors. We strongly advise that your child does not wear their best clothes, as participation in messy activities is always available at the Nursery.
All children should be provided with spare clothes and old shoes or slippers in a bag.

Coat and shoes will need to be clearly labelled.

(7) FEES
Fees are paid monthly in advance and the full amount must be paid on your child's first session of that month. If your child is absent, due to sickness or holidays, the full fees must still be paid as the cost of staffing , heating and lighting etc, have to be met

(8) COLLECTION OF CHILDREN
Staff must be informed of the name of the person collecting your child from nursery and must be contacted if any changes are made regarding the collection of your child.

Occasionally the staff at the nursery would like to take the children on walks of interest within the local area. Outings separate from these will require additional request forms and Parents will be informed in advance of details including all safety measures taken.

(10) DIET

To provide a varied, well balanced diet and encourage children to eat a variety of foods. A menu will be published each week and displayed in the entrance hall.
